Interview with John Beaver

Born in Millerstown, Pennsylvania, James Beaver (1837–1914) served in the Army during the Civil War and was promoted to brigadier general by President Lincoln. Beaver later became Pennsylvania’s 20th governor, serving from 1887 to 1891.
